With over 35 hands-on indoor and outdoor exhibits, like giant bubbles, magnetic building tables, a place to play dress-up, and an interactive puppet theater, there’s no shortage of fun. Your kids will love the 1.5-acre outdoor educational garden, the toddler-only area, and all the special weekly programs. The staff is always friendly and helpful too, so put the Santa Fe Children’s Museum on the top of your must-do list.

The Santa Fe Climbing Center

Another great family-friendly activity in Santa Fe is a visit to the Santa Fe Climbing Center. This is the only indoor rock climbing gym in all of northern New Mexico. The Santa Fe Climbing Center is a great place for kids and features a bouldering area and a lead climbing area with a wide array of routes for all levels of climbers. Children under the age of 12 must be directly supervised by an adult at all times while at the facility. All new customers must participate in the facility’s new customer orientation, too. Closed-toe shoes are required, and comfortable clothing is highly recommended.
